Job Description

 
The CIB Global Program Management team is responsible for the management and delivery of a range of large scale initiatives.  Projects in the LE/LOB (Legal Entity / Line of Business) portfolio aim to align Legal Entity and MIS results across the finance platform, provide a single entry for reporting across LE and LOB results and re-engineer the indirect expense allocation process.
The LE/LOB Associate will be both engaged in the management and execution of the overall project portfolio and each individual project liaising with CIB stakeholders, Corporate and Technology.  Role is in Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) within Finance & Business Management's (F&BM) Program Management team.
The candidate should have exceptional communication and project management skills and demonstrate solid judgment and leadership skills, as well as ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a complex environment.   Business analysis / financial reporting is preferred.
Responsibilities: 
The LE / LOB Associate will manage project execution and provide program management governance support.
Project Execution:
  • Manage individual projects in the LE/LOB portfolio end-to-end and partner with various stakeholders.
  • Adapt to changes to the project management process which is moving from Waterfall methodology to Agile methodology. 
  • Manage the documentation of business requirements / user stories. 
  • Gain strong understanding of the complex financial reporting and assist with execution / delivery of reports to the finance community.
  • Assist with managing UAT end-to-end; this includes defining test strategy, managing testers and general test management.
  • Assist program lead with developing of program/projects scope, goals, project plans, and milestones.
  • Assist with managing project timelines and track and execute against required deliverables.
  • Resolve conflicts and successfully manage project/task dependencies.
  • Identify and effectively solution for risks, issues and control gaps.
  • Build proactive partnerships with business and functional partners.
Governance:
  • Assist with ensuring that projects are managed with appropriate oversight (governance, project plans, stakeholder/communication plans, requirements, testing, design, issue/risk identification and resolution, project resourcing, benefits realization, project costs, etc.).
  • Ensure projects are executed in most effective and efficient manner.
  • Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to communicate updates, directional changes and key risks/issues while influencing outcomes and driving resolution. 


Qualifications


 

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3 years of previous Program Management / Change Management / Project Execution experience (with a financial institution preferred).
  • Experience with financial reporting systems is preferred.  Experience with allocation process is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with the proven ability to execute, influence and drive results.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with ability to synthesize large data sets and identify targeted, crisp messages.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to influence outcomes and drive resolution.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to compare complex alternatives and select a solution.
  • Ability to apply creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a strong sense of urgency.
