ExportFinance (EF) provides medium and long term financing to internationalborrowers purchasing capital goods. The majority of our transactions are incapital intensive industries such as Power, Oil & Gas, and Transportation,and other infrastructure needs in emerging markets.
Weutilize Export Credit Agencies (ECA) and other multilateral/developmentorganizations (such as the World Bank and OPIC) to support our financingstructures through loan guarantees, direct loans, or insurance. ECAs areentities established by respective governments to promote national exports, inturn stimulating economic growth and creating and/or maintaining employment.
The EFteam interacts with internal relationship managers as a product /salesorganization to provide ECA solutions for priority clients. EF is typically alead product when JPMorgan is trying to build credentials in a new jurisdictionas it allows us to access a very senior level of the client organization andbuild relationships while managing our risk.
EF workswith distribution (both loan and bond distribution teams) to build newdistribution avenues and limit the impact to JPMorgan's balance sheet.
The globalEF team is organized geographically with regional teams in New York, London,and Singapore, who manage our relationships with active borrowers of ECAfinancing, ECAs, and bank/investor partners. This role for EF in NY focuses onmarketing Americas (North America, Central, and South America) based borrowersfor the EF product suite, while also supporting our global client base forclients seeking leverage our Americas based ECAs and multilateral agencies.
In co-ordination with senior EF management, develop and implement a strategy for LA and NA
Lead a team of EF professionals based in NY
Establish relationships with GT&LP, Relationship & Product Bankers together with Functional Partners (Compliance, Credit Risk, Legal etc) both in NA and LA
Represent EF NA on Regional and Global Approval Committee's
Establish and build relationships with major America's based ECAs and multi-nationals
Originate, structure, market, execute and close EF transactions
Undertake responsible management of post -closing issues alongside middle office
Oversee junior but experienced colleagues
Represent EF on the Regional MT
Be a Culture & Conduct leader
Offer guidance and direction to the team through the cycle of deal prospecting to closure
Provide support on new EF initiatives for senior EF management
