This position will be responsible for the management and oversight of the Citi AML Cross Border Data Clearance (CBDC) process associated with Citi AML Global Risk & Control reporting directly to the Global R&C CBDC Program Owner.


Job Description:

  • Develops and leads the AML CBDC framework to provide and coordinate AML compliance for CBDC matters globally

  • Reviews the integrity of submissions created by the CBBCs in CBAT for quality and completeness

  • Keeps the Data Gatekeeper role for all AML initiatives submitted via CBAT

  • Disseminates CBDC training and guidance related to cross border data process and CBAT tool within the AML business. When required, develops business-specific training and awareness materials tailored to business needs

  • Develops and publish awareness messages on cross border

  • Leads monthly AML CBDC Forum to provide regular updates and process changes

  • Participates in CBDC Governance Forums, as well as working groups established under the overall Citi CBDC governance structure

  • Partners with the Regional/Functional Cross Border Coordinators to understand initiative's goals/timelines and/or analyze and streamline all requests for clearance through CBAT

  • Escalates potentially non-compliant issues to AML SLT and Privacy & Information Compliance (PIC) CBDC Compliance Team, if required



  • Minimum 6 years of combined relevant experience in Risk and Control and AML/BSA

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong knowledge of Global Data Privacy laws

  • Strong control orientation, as demonstrated by previous work experience in fields such as consulting, audit, and/ or risk management

  • Strong organization skills

  • Proven track record of managing either operational and/or control environments

  • Ability to interface with senior management and convey complex risk-related information

  • Drive results with high degree of accountability; proven time and task management competencies

  • Critical thinking and problem solving ability

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications (both written and verbal)

  • Ability to establish rapport and build effective relationships across functions, across regions, and across all levels of management
