Role Summary:
The Global Commercial Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the sales proposal process globally, from opportunity identification through contract flow-down to key organizations. In addition to that he manages the technical validation of customer specifications. The role will report into the European Commercial Operations Leader for GE Additive.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Technical validation of customer specifications for public tenders and non-standard quotations
  • Liaison between all internal departments to ensure a swift compilation of information relevant for the creation of quotations, ensuring the compliance of our offering with the specifications requested by the customer
  • Interface with Channel Partners in all areas of sales support, sales performance and agreement administration
  • Ensure compliance of proposal scope with customer’s technical specifications as well as of the commercial aspects of the proposal document (terms and conditions)
  • Provide leadership during the deal review process to ensure that all technical risk points, risk mitigation, and business risk acceptance levels are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost and proposal wording
  • Support the transactional deal process having the ability to structure creative, commercially and technically sound quality deals and interface with key internal stakeholders as required
  • Assist the Sales team with direct customer negotiations as required


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in sales, sales support, or other relevant commercial roles
  • Business fluent English language skills (oral & written)
  • Ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills


Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of legal aspects and implications of contracts, terms, and conditions, negotiation, etc to allow constructing contracts with minimized risk
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Established project management skills
  • Masters degree preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma certified
