Position Title: Desk Head - NAM Oil Trading

Responsibilities and Requirements:
Reporting into the Global Head of Oil Trading, this person will manage the North American Oil Trading business, based out of our Houston office. The desired candidate must be able to:
- Manage a staff of other traders while also managing a personal risk portfolio.
Provide supervision and understanding of current regulatory processes in a US Banking institution.
Work well with support partners including middle and back office, market and credit risk teams, other trading desk heads, and all other business partners within Commodities.
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of profitable trading results, and is a recognized thought leader within the industry.
Minimum of six years of experience trading physical and financial crude oil and refined products markets.
Extensive experience with quoting and managing financial client activities.
Thorough understanding of fundamental supply and demand factors as well as technical/quantitative factors and global oil trading flows.
Proven track record supervising physical or financial traders operating as part of a cohesive team.
Familiarity with CFTC,OCC,DOD-Frank, and Volker regulatory issues affecting financial and physical trading in oil markets.
